Move to new Datacenter

Over the next few days I will be moving to a better datacenter. This should be transparent for everyone but if something isn't working right, that is why.

Some Stats

Since free hosting was offered in October 2008 the numbers show steady growth:

Holiday Update

I guess there where a lot of people using SSTV over the holidays! You can see the bandwidth jump Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. K2RRT hosting seems to have found a niche with the easy pal sstv users.

I have been seeing some people sign up over and over. The first time you sign up and it is successful your ftp account login information will be displayed on the screen. Domain hosting accounts will come shortly by email. I will be changing the FTP creation script to email the login information. That should cut down on the multiple sign-ups.

Server move. Our upstream provider is changing to a better datacenter. I haven't been given a date yet, but I would imagine it will be the first part of January. There will be a some brief downtime during the move.

DNS Issues

Anyone using ns1.k2rrt.net & ns2.k2rrt.net is at the mercy of GoDaddy at the moment. Normal DNS changes happen in moments, but Name Server Host registrations can take up to 24 hours.

Once they flip the switch your sites will be live.
